Geranium platyanthum
Description:
Geranium platyanthum is a hardy perennial native to Siberia, the Russian Far East, Mongolia, China and Korea. Forming neat clumps with softly hairy foliage, it produces large blue to violet-purple flowers from late spring to early summer. First described in 1906, it is now the accepted name for the plant formerly known as Geranium eriostemon, a species valued for its elegant habit and woodland garden appeal.
