Hedera helix ‘Tripod’
Description:
Said to be a sport of ‘Plume d'Or’, discovered by Cliff Coon in 1988 in a church garden in Fremont, California, USA. Coon was an American ivy collector, plantsman, and Hedera selector who contributed to the cultivation of unusual ivy forms. Active in the specialist ivy community, he focused on selecting distinctive foliage colours, shapes, and growth habits. He is best known for Hedera helix ‘Goldfinch’, selected in 1994 and introduced in 2000, adding to the diversity of cultivated ivies.
