Dahlia ‘Hillcrest Kismet’ (D)


Description:

A 1999 introduction from Les Jackson, Carlisle, Cumbria who introduced over 80 dahlias with the Hillcrest prefix over 50 years. A large warm salmon orange flower to 15cm wide, with long, strong stems. Les, a dedicated Manchester United football fan spent years breeding dahlias on his allotment and was proud to have bred ‘Hillcrest Duncan Edwards’ with its vibrant red, football sized flowers, in commemoration of the player who lost his life in the Munich air disaster of 1958.
