Description:
Native to the subalpine regions of Nepal, Bhutan and central to south-eastern Tibet, this perennial grows in cool, high-altitude mountain habitats. It forms solitary rosettes of hairy leaves and sends up slender stems carrying clusters of deep pink to red flowers in summer. Adapted to harsh alpine conditions, it thrives in well-drained soils and short growing seasons, reflecting its origins in the Himalayan uplands
