Nerine ‘Rushmere Star’
Description:
Raised by Ipswich-based plantsman Stanley Smee and was originally known as “Smee No. 11”. A cross of N. bowdenii ‘Superba’ × N. fothergillii major, it received an RHS Award of Merit on 25 October 1966. The cultivar was recorded in the Journal of the Royal Horticultural Society in 1967, with its deep rosy-purple flowers noted again in 1984.
