Synonym: Iris ‘Desert Song’ (TB)

Description:

Hybridised by Orville Fay (1896-1980) USA and registered 1946. Tall, bearded iris midseason flowering, cream self with yellow beard and clean haft, it has large, ruffled, well-proportioned blooms on strong, well-branched stems to about 100cm. Noted for heavy substance, weather resistance and long flowering, it is vigorous, fast-increasing and winter hardy. Awards: AIS Honourable Mention 1946; Award of Merit 1949. List in Kelways catalogue of 1949-1950.
