Astilbe ‘Boogie Woogie’PBRarendsii)

Synonym: Astilbe ‘Boogie Woogie’ x arendsii

Description:

A hybrid from the Arendsii group developed by German horticulturist Georg Arends. His breeding work combined East Asian woodland species from China and Japan to create more ornamental, garden-worthy plants with stronger flower spikes and improved colour.  This selection was introduced in 2013 by Dutch breeder Jan Verschoor and and chosen for its compact habit and vivid pink plumes, continuing the tradition of shade-loving hybrids suited to moist, temperate gardens.
