Hemerocallis ‘Strawberry Swirl’

Description:

Introduced by Steve Moldovan in 1981, this 30" dormant tetraploid daylily has 5.5" fragrant pink blooms with a red-pink eyezone and green-yellow throat, reblooming mid-season. Moldovan of Avon, Ohio, registered 445 cultivars, earning 50 HMs and 7 AMs. Influenced by Chicago hybridizers, he focused on purples, pinks, and hardy tetraploids, producing award-winners like ‘Charlemagne,’ ‘Magic Robe,’ and ‘Dancing Shiva,’ shaping modern daylily breeding.
