Narcissus ‘Glory of Leiden’


Description:

Mid- to late-season historic daffodil, 1 Y-Y [Trumpet Long-Cupped], grows 32.5–67.5 cm and was hybridised by de Graaff Bros. in the Netherlands, registered before 1887. Very large yellow flowers have ovate, slightly inflexed perianth segments overlapping a quarter to a third, with a cylindrical, smooth corona darker than the petals, flared mouth, lightly frilled and notched rim. Resembling a large ‘Emperor,’ it’s also called ‘Glory of Leyden,’ named for the Dutch town of its hybridiser.
