Description:
Rare and distinctive Oxalis native to Peru, particularly the Urubamba Valley and Machu Picchu region. First described in 1930, it is uncommon in UK cultivation and mainly encountered in specialist collections. The species has two recognised subspecies and is notable for its restricted natural distribution.
