Heliotropium arborescens ‘Gatton Park’
Description:
A distinctive, compact form of heliotrope, noted for its dark purple to mid-mauve, strongly scented flowers. The cultivar is associated with Gatton Park, Surrey. Our earliest known references are from the 1950s including a mention in J. R. B. Evison’s Gardening for Display (1958). Our earliest record of nursery availability is from the 1989/90 edition of The Plant Finder (Hardy Plant Society), where it was offered by Tony & Sue Crabb’s Sifelle Nursery.
