Silene dioica ‘Innocence’
Description:
This plant has its origins in Hexham, from Dr Marie Addyman, a plant historian whose work looks at the history, names and uses of some of our wild and garden plants. First listed for sale in the 2008 RHS Plant Finder. According to our Plant Guardian the flower has a dark centre, a less-common feature of Red Campions, supposedly due to "smut", a fungal pathogen.
