Astilbe ‘Poschka’

Description:

Introduced by German horticulturist Georg Arends in the early 20th century, most commonly cited around the 1920s–1930s period of his Arendsii hybrid breeding programme. It comes from his work crossing East Asian Astilbe species from China and Japan to produce improved ornamental garden plants with stronger flower plumes and better performance in moist, shaded, temperate garden conditions.
