Hedera helix ‘Amber Waves’
Description:
Said to be discovered as a sport in 1989 and introduced by Russell Windle (USA), once Registrar of Hedera for the American Ivy Society and owner of one of the world's largest private ivy collections. Medium-sized, three- to five-lobed leaves emerge chartreuse to yellow before maturing green. The yellow colour persists better in shade than most yellow-leaved ivies. Naturally self-branching, it forms a dense, balanced plant. Named and introduced in 1993.
