Hemerocallis ‘Magic Carpet Ride’


Description:

Introduced by David Kirchhoff in 1992, this tetraploid has mandarin red blooms with a coral-orange watermark above a yellow-to-green throat, winning awards in 1996 and 1999. Kirchhoff of Daylily World registered 690 cultivars, excelling in both diploids and tetraploids, including award-winners like ‘Betty Woods,’ ‘Ming Porcelain,’ and ‘Vino Di Notte.’ He earned the Bertrand Farr Silver Medal in 1986.
