Description:
'Herbstfeuer' also referred to as Autumn Fire. Documented in the planting of Garten Cramer, Leer (East Frisia), in 1944, in a garden designed by the Foerster, Mattern & Hammerbacher partnership. Original introduction date unknown. Approximately 70 cm tall and 50 cm wide. A deciduous perennial forming a compact clump. Abundant summer flowering, with red blooms featuring yellow. Thought to be introduced as Chrysanthemum × hortorum 'Herbstfeuer' in 1935 by Karl Foerster.
