Description:

Possibly a cross between ‘Great Orme’ and ‘Midsummer Beauty’ and thought to have originated in the garden of Mrs Jane Holden, Idleigh, Kent. It is also cited in Douglas Chalk's book of 1988 as being 'a large leaved hybrid collected in Devon, about which little is known'. Erect evergreen shrub to 1.2 m, with shiny dark green, spear-shaped leaves to 7.5 cm long and 2.5 cm wide, with a prominent reddish midrib. Striking long deep pink flowers can reach 25 cm, including the peduncle, in summer.
