Description:
Native to south-eastern Madagascar. It is a succulent subshrub associated primarily with dry shrubland and desert environments. It is adapted to relatively dry conditions, although some sources describe it from moist, rocky sites, suggesting it can occur in sheltered rocky habitats within this generally dry region.
