Hemerocallis ‘Ed Murray’
Description:
A best-known introduction of 1971 from Edward T. Grovatt of Burlington, New Jersey, which won both AM and Stout Medal honours. Grovatt registered 58 cultivars with a number winning acclaim including ‘Jersey Spider’ (1973) and others from his “Jersey” series, like ‘Jersey Toughie’ and ‘Jersey Beacon’ and ‘Bert Murray’ (1977) winning the President’s Cup in 1978. In total, 17 of his introductions received recognition showcasing his lasting impact on daylily hybridising.
