Primula ‘David Valentine’
Description:
Described in John Richards’ Primula (2013) as a ‘magnificent clone’ raised from a cross involving Primula elatior and P. juliae by botanist Professor David H. Valentine at Durham University around 1968. Richards further notes that it was ‘maintained by his ex-student Judy Burrows, who named it after the raiser.’ A robust plant with plum-purple flowers.
