Achimenes ‘Flamenco’

Description:

Tender rhizomatous perennial derived from the tropical American genus Achimenes, a group of flowering plants native to Central and South America and parts of Mexico. Bred for its vivid orange trumpet-shaped blooms and trailing habit, ‘Flamenco’ reflects the exotic heritage of its parent genus, which belongs to the gesneriad family (Gesneriaceae). Like other Achimenes, it grows from scaly rhizomes and enters winter dormancy before regrowing in spring.
