Baeckea linifolia Rudge
Description:
First described in 1807, this Australian shrub is native to coastal Queensland, New South Wales, and northeastern Victoria. It grows in damp heath, gullies, and near waterfalls, showing a strong preference for moist conditions. Regional forms vary, with Victorian plants having smaller, firmer leaves. In cultivation it is valued for its fine, linear foliage, dense branching habit, and abundant small flowers that create a light, airy display in suitable garden conditions.
