Description:

Rare Victorian selection of a tropical Central American species once prized in 19th-century conservatories. This tender perennial grows to about 30cm tall with bushy stems, silvery veined green leaves, and large reddish-purple flowers with a white eye and distinctive spur from late spring to autumn. Best in part shade, it forms rhizomes and becomes dormant in winter.
