Description:
First recorded in 1914, this begonia was developed by K. S. Bunch as a sport of the popular hybrid Begonia erythrophylla. It belongs to the rhizomatous begonias, a group prized for their ornamental foliage and ease of cultivation. Forming a compact mound of glossy green leaves, it produces clusters of pink flowers during the cooler months. Its attractive foliage, evergreen habit, and suitability for containers helped secure its place as a long-lived favourite among begonia enthusiasts.
