Vincetoxicum scandens Sommier & Levier
Description:
A climbing shrub native to Eastern Europe and Northern Iran, thriving in mountain forests, exposed slopes, and coastal hills. It features dark green, triangular to ovate leaves (9–14cm long, 5–6cm wide), slightly hairy at the margins and veins, with a paler underside. Strongly twining stems reach up to 2 meters long, producing clusters of dark blackish-purple, star-shaped flowers (4–6mm in diameter) in summer. Blooms late spring to summer in Russia. Performs best in medium loam.
