Narcissus ‘King Of the Netherlands’
Description:
Historic daffodil raised by William Backhouse and recorded in cultivation before 1869. Backhouse was a notable nineteenth-century British nurseryman and plant breeder associated with the development and introduction of several early daffodil cultivars. Backhouse was active during a period when interest in narcissus breeding was expanding rapidly in Britain, and his work contributed to the growing diversity of garden daffodils available to Victorian gardeners.
