Veronica ‘Mauvena’ (H)


Synonym: Hebe ‘Mauvena’

Description:

Origin is unclear, whilst suggested to have originted from Watson, Clontarf Nurseries Killiney Ireland pre-1911, listed in their catalogue of 1915-16, it was cited in The Garden Oct 1910 as V. mauvena included in a display of shrubby veronicas from fern specialists, Messrs. H. B. May and Sons, The Nurseries, of Upper Edmonton. An RHS show of 29 Aug 1911 lists V. 'Mauvena' amongst plants described as being mostly of continental origin.
