Description:
Mid-season historic daffodil, classified 2 Y-YYO [Large-Cupped], grows 32.5–67.5 cm. Hybridised by John Charles Williams in England, registered before 1912. Awarded FCC 1912, AM(g) 1914, AM Haarlem 1914, and FA Haarlem 1933, it bears 78 mm+ flowers with very broad, rounded, light yellow perianth segments overlapping half. Shallow, deeply ribbed orange corona fades toward the base, with a widely expanded, lightly frilled mouth, sometimes split and overlapping. Named after King Croesus of Lydia.
