Asplenium scolopendrium (Crispum Group) ‘Golden Queen’
Description:
Selected cultivar of hart’s tongue fern from the Crispum Group, developed through horticultural selection rather than a distinct wild population. It was maintained and shared by specialist growers including Mike and Dilly Smith. Chosen for its ornamental value, it produces rich golden-yellow new fronds in spring when grown in good light, later turning green by summer. Its deeply ruffled frond edges and seasonal colour change make it a distinctive garden form.
