Pelargonium ‘Blandfordianum Album’ (Sc)
Description:
An early hybrid, believed to be P. radula × P. quinquevulnereum. It has deeply incised, grey-green, rose-scented leaves and white flowers with reddish blotches on the lower petals. ‘Album’ denotes the white-flowered form, while ‘Roseum’ has rose-pink flowers. Developed in the early 1800s, it is traditionally associated with George Spencer-Churchill, Marquis of Blandford, who cultivated rare plants at Whiteknights Park, Reading.
