Hemerocallis ‘Lillian Frye’
Description:
American Daylily Society records as 'Lillian Fry', introduced by Wilmer Bryan Flory of Shady-Nook Gardens in 1972, this 26" diploid, dormant, reblooming daylily has 3" medium yellow blooms with a green throat. Flory, a former Indiana Daylily Society president and Journal editor, bred 31 cultivars including favourites like ‘Ava Michelle’ and ‘Frans Hals.’ Renowned for his hybridizing, he earned the Bertrand Farr Silver Medal (1969) and continued breeding into the 1980s.
