Clematis uncinata Champ. ex Benth.
Description:
Small evergreen climber, up to 4m, native to Central and Southern China, Vietnam, southern Japan, and Taiwan. It has small, leathery, dark green leaves with five narrow leaflets on slender, ridged stems. From May to July, it produces clusters of white, scented, bell-shaped flowers. It has distinctive hook-like tendrils and is best grown in good light and protection from cold winds. The variety okinawensis exhibits more leaflets.
