Antirrhinum pulverulentum Lázaro Ibiza
Description:
A subshrub native to Eastern Spain, in the region between Jaén and Teruel.
Growing to heights of between 15cm and 20cm, they have simple, oblong to elliptical leaves which appear in opposite pairs lower down but alternating higher up. Clusters of light greenish yellow, tubular, two lipped flowers appear in June and July.
Great for rock gardens or alpine houses, preferring sunny spots on moderately moist soil.
Pulverulentum comes from the Latin for appearing to be covered in dust.
