Synonyms: Hebe ‘Andersonii Malene’, Hebe ‘Malene’, Hebe ‘Marlene’, Veronica ‘Marlene’ (H)

Description:

A sport selected by Svend Ole Larsen, Denmark and named for his daughter Malene, first recorded c.1986. The International Register of Hebe Cultivars (Metcalf 2001) records 'Malene' as an orthographic error, whilst 'Marlene' was first listed in the UK as 'new' by Bridgemere Nurseries, Cheshire in 1990 (The Plant Finder, Hardy Plant Society).
