Aptenia cordifolia ‘Variegata’ (v)
Description:
Native to South Africa, this trailing succulent comes from a species adapted to hot, dry coastal habitats. The variegated form was selected in cultivation for its cream-edged, heart-shaped leaves and bright pink flowers that open in sunlight. Forming a dense, spreading carpet of fleshy foliage, it is highly tolerant of heat, drought and coastal conditions. Formerly placed in the genus Aptenia, it was reclassified as Mesembryanthemum in 2007.
