Aspidistra daibuensis ‘Tidy Trim’
Description:
Originates from Taiwan, where Crûg Farm collected a smaller, naturally compact form in 1999 in southern Hualien County along shaded forest paths. In the wild it grew as a dense, low carpet with narrow, lightly speckled leaves. After cultivation, it retained its tight rhizomatous habit but developed longer, narrower evergreen leaves. It reflects a forest-floor plant adapted to deep shade, spreading slowly from creeping rhizomes in humid woodland conditions.
