Synonym: Astilbe ‘Moerheimii’ (thunbergiihybrid)

Description:

This historic cultivar was raised in 1909 by B. Ruys at Royal Moerheim Nurseries in the Netherlands. A member of the Thunbergii hybrid group, it was selected for its elegant habit and tall, airy flower plumes. Forming clumps of finely divided, fern-like foliage, it produces arching silvery-white flowers in midsummer, often developing a soft pink flush as they mature.
