Berberis × bristolensis Ahrendt
Description:
A hybrid first described in 1947 by Leslie Walter Allen Ahrendt, created by crossing Berberis calliantha with Berberis verruculosa. It combines the warty stems and solitary yellow flowers of B. verruculosa with the finer foliage of B. calliantha, forming a dense, evergreen shrub valued for its ornamental appearance and garden hardiness.
