Plant Guardians

Melanoseris cyanea (D.Don) Edgew. (W/O-9171)

Description:

Derived from parent plants grown from seed originally sourced from wild collections by August Wu and Bjørnar Olsen in the hills of Yunnan, China. In late summer through autumn, these statuesque plants unfurl a profusion of delicate, nodding violet-blue flowers reminiscent of chicory, each perched atop tall, elegant stems. Reaching up to 1.6 metres, they flourish in rich, moisture-retentive soil with good drainage, thriving in spots of dappled sunlight or light shade.
