Description:
Range-restricted bulbous species endemic to the Western Cape of South Africa, where it occurs in montane fynbos on steep, rocky mountain slopes with well-drained soils. It is a winter-growing geophyte, producing narrow, strap-shaped leaves and short flowering stems around 30–45 cm tall. Its distinctive funnel-shaped flowers are usually white to pale pink, with overlapping tepals marked by fine darker pink streaks. The species flowers mainly after fire and is rarely seen in the wild.
