Salvia rosmarinus ‘Villa Petrea’ (Ro)
Description:
Discovered by a visitor while on holiday in Tuscany in September 2005, this distinctive rosemary was found growing at Villa Petrea, after which it was named. Attractive prostrate form, with gracefully arching stems that create an elegant, cascading habit. The lower surfaces of the leaves are covered with a fine white indumentum, which becomes particularly visible as the stems arch over. Thought to be named and introduced by past collection holder Madeline Sadler.
