Begonia ‘Barclay Griffiths’


Description:

A small Begonia bowerae hybrid, commonly known as eyelash begonias because of the eyelash like hairs around the leaf margins. The Begonia Register records this plant as raised by E.C. Barclay-Griffiths of Devon and registered circa. 1981. Cited in Rhodes and Rockcliffe (past National Collection holders) catalogue of 1998 as: ‘Barclay Griffiths.(R) Early bowerae × Clifton hybrid. Yellow-green rounded leaves with brown stitching on edges. Height 6 inches. White flowers.’
