Many members will be very familiar with the Picton Garden in the Autumn, holding as it does the National Collection of Michaelmas Daisies, but an early spring visit will reap great rewards. Ross and Helen have been working hard over the past few years to widen the seasons of interest in the garden and can now boast a very interesting collection of historic pre-1930 daffodils, which will hopefully be in full flower. Additionally, unusual spring flowering bulbs, alpines and woodlanders abound. Even if you’ve visited recently it is worth coming along as the garden continues to undergo significant redevelopment and is being enthusiastically replanted. Ross or Helen will give us a brief introduction to the daffodil collection and the garden.
