An impressive collection and working Victorian Glasshouses, a walled kitchen garden, a 300 foot Edwardian pergola, a sunken garden, and the occasional surreal fibreglass tree off year round interest to garden visitors. West Dean is 6 miles north of Chichester on the A286 towards Midhurst.
The entrance to the Gardens is clearly signposted off the A286 (nb West Dean College has a separate entrance). Free parking is available, with designated spaces for disabled visitors.
