Recording your plant in the Plant Guardian scheme
Once you've found your rare plant, it's important to record it with us, so we can add it to our conservation record system Persephone and keep track of it. You will find a link below to record your plant. If you want to submit more than 5 plants, please reload this page and complete a second form. Thank you.
To be recorded as a Plant Guardian plant, it's important that you own the plant and know its full name (ideally we need to know the name of the plant in Latin). If you aren't sure of its name, have a chat with members of your local Plant Heritage group who may be able to advise, or post it to our Facebook group. It's also really helpful if you can provide photos of your plant. We also love to hear the stories behind the plants, and we share these through our rare plants blog.
Remember that you need to be a member of Plant Heritage to become a plant guardian. If you're not already a member, it's easy to join online.
Please note that by joining the scheme, you are agreeing for us to contact you (either by email or telephone) if there are queries about your plant.
