Record your plant

Recording your plant in the Plant Guardian scheme

By recording your plant, you are supporting our wider research and contributing valuable data to the Threatened Plants Programme. To submit more than 5 plants, please reload this page and complete an additional form. Thank you.

You will need to own the plant and, ideally, know its full botanical (Latin) name. If you are unsure of the name, contact members of your nearest Plant Heritage group for guidance, or post on our social media pages Facebook @ourplantheritage, or Instagram @plantheritage.  Sharing photos supports our live website listing, and we love hearing the stories behind your plants, which may be featured on our conservation blog. We store Plant Guardian records in our  Persephone  plant records system.

Remember that you need to be a member of Plant Heritage to become a Plant Guardian. If you're not already a member, it's easy to join online

By joining the scheme, you agree that we may contact you (by email or telephone) if we have any queries about your plant. Your record will also be shared with your regional group.
