Trustees

Plant Heritage trustees are all volunteers, who are responsible for the governance and strategic direction of Plant Heritage. 

The board of trustees is supported by two executive committees (Finance and Fundraising, Governance and People) as well as other committees and working groups, including the Plant Collections Committee which is responsible for accrediting and overseeing the National Plant Collections.

Plant Heritage is registered as a charity in the UK, and as a company limited by guarantee (one of four types of charity in the UK). The trustees are the directors of the company.

We also have a royal patron, president and vice presidents (see below). These are honorary roles.
