Isle of Man (affiliated)
The Manx Plant and Garden Conservation Society aims to stimulate interest in and the knowledge and appreciation of gardening and plant conservation and cultivation, in the Isle of Man, by means of lectures, garden visits, plant sales and associated activities
Established in 1983, the Society has gone from strength to strength, with in excess of 300 members who enjoy a variety of events throughout the year.
We have a full lecture programme during the winter months following the AGM in September and running through to early May.
Garden visits are arranged on the island, the first one being in February timed to coincide with the first signs of spring once the Snowdrops have burst through. This is followed in the summer months with visits arranged between May and July. Afternoon tea is provided at every visit for £3 and each visit is supported with a plant stall.
Every year we arrange a members' trip off the island. However with Covid-19 these are currently suspended, hopefully reinstated in 2022.
Non-members are very welcome to attend any of our events for an entry fee of just £2.50.
