Passiflora cerasina L.

Isle of Man (affiliated)

The Manx Plant and Garden Conservation Society is affliated with Plant Heritage, and aims to further the knowledge of endangered garden plants on the island, to propagate and distribute endangered plants, aand to maintain a register of garden plants offered by nurserymen on the island.

Established in 1983, the Society has gone from strength to strength, with in excess of 300 members who enjoy a variety of events throughout the year

We have a full lecture programme during the winter months following the AGM in September and running through to early May.

Garden visits are arranged on the island, the first one being in February timed to coincide with the first signs of spring once the Snowdrops have burst through.  This is followed in the summer months with visits arranged between May and July. Afternoon tea is provided at every visit for £3 and each visit is supported with a plant stall.

Every year we arrange a members’ trip off the island.  This year we fly to London Gatwick, and from there drive to the garden of Nymans in West Sussex.

Non-members are very welcome to attend any of our events for an entry fee of just £2.50.
