We are excited to offer this amazing opportunity to learn how to prune roses with Neil Miller, to actually have a have the opportunity to practice your new skills in the Hever Castle Rose Garden, to have a guided walking tour of the castle gardens with Neil and then actually take a Rosa 'Hever Castle' home with you to remind you of the experience. Schedule For The Day
Arrive at the scenic Hever Castle set within 150 acres of breathtaking gardens and grounds, where you will
be met by Plant Heritage Representatives at 9.30 am.
Following a short walk from the car park to gardener’s mess room where you can enjoy a welcome Tea or
Coffee.
At 10am you will proceed to the Rose garden where Neil will commence his talk by demonstrating how to
prune the Hybrid Tea Rosa 'Rachel' and the Floribunda Rosa 'Love Struck'.
Following Neil’s demonstration, you will get the opportunity to be let lose on this historic rose garden to
prune the roses first hand.
We will break for lunch at 12.30 so please bring a packed lunch with you, Tea and Coffee with be available.
Neil has also kindly agreed to provide a guided tour of the gardens at 13.15pm. Where you will explore the
brainchild of William Waldorf Astor that were laid out from 1904 – 1908 by Joseph Cheal and Son, turning
marshland into the spectacular garden that you see today. Your tour will take in The Italian Garden set
alongside hand dug 38acre lake, Diana’s Walk, Sunday Walk & Church Gill, Blue Corner, Two Sisters Lawn
and Pool Tuder Garen and finishing back at the Rose Garden.
As your day draws to a close you will get to take a small piece of Hever home with you to remember the
day with a Rosa “Hever Castle”
