Mac Pennys Nursery is a family owned & run retail nursery consisting of a mature 4 acre woodland garden, with alphabetically laid out sales' beds.

Virtually all of the shrubs and perennials available are propagated and grown onsite, with all the production now being peat free using composted new forest bracken as one of the peat alternatives. They probably have one of, if not, the largest range of trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials available in the area with no real one specialism, only the extensive vast range of plants.
The vast majority of the cutting propagation uses the world famous Mac Penny mist propagation still in the original greenhouse using the original setup (although various bits have been replaced or updated since first installed, a bit like Triggers broom!). This gives the means, opportunity and ability to grow the more unusual and wide range of plants offered plus also taking individual propagation commissions.
